Toshiba Might Delay Launch of HD DVD Player

Toshiba stated on Thursday September 1 that it is considering delaying the launch of its next-generation HD DVD player, which was originally scheduled to be released at the end of 2005. This new development might erase the first-mover advantage the company was expected to have over the Blu-ray camp, which has stated it will launch its next-generation DVD players sometime in 2006.
